HVAC Apprenticeship
We are seeking an HVAC Apprentice to assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, and removal of HVAC systems, generators, and DC power systems in our HVAC company. The apprentice will observe health and safety procedures, attend classroom learning, and participate in learning opportunities. In addition, the apprentice will attend meetings, offer suggestions for improvement, and complete required evaluations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, and removal of HVAC
- systems, generators, and DC power systems
- Observe health and safety procedures
- Attend classroom learning and participate in learning opportunities
- Attend meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
- Complete required evaluations
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a HVAC training program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Previous HVAC training and valid EPA license
- General automotive, mechanical, and electrical experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong safety consciousness and work ethic
Qualifications:
- Ability to learn quickly
- Work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications
- Desired knowledge of PVC, ductwork, copper, and gas piping installations
- Desired experience in residential HVAC installations for residential applications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Currently enrolled in a HVAC training program
